Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG welding and possess a strong background in construction, manufacturing, and sheet metal work. This role involves working on various projects that require precision welding, blueprint reading, and the use of hand and power tools. The successful applicant will contribute to high-quality fabrication and assembly processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG welding on diverse materials, including sheet metal and ductwork, adhering to project specifications and blueprints
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment effectively
- Measure components using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accurate fabrication
- Execute MIG welding (GMAW), FCAW, and <LOCATION> welding techniques as needed for various projects
- Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts for material handling and positioning
- Conduct pipe threading, assembly, soldering, and mechanical work in accordance with ASME codes & standards
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and proper rigging procedures
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving machining, fabrication, and construction site tasks
Skills
- Proficiency in TIG welding with strong knowledge of <LOCATION> welding standards
- Experience with MIG welding (GMAW), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), plasma cutting, and press brake operations
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including pipe threading, assembly, soldering, and machining
- Familiarity with construction site practices and safety procedures including crane operation and rigging
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, and schematics for precise work
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and fabrication projects
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing or construction environment

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
