Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper procedures and patient safety protocols are followed.
- Use patient transfer methods such as manual handling techniques to safely move individuals between beds, chairs, or other settings.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each patient's needs, including those with dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Assist with specialized care procedures such as catheter care, wound care, or infection control practices in aseptic environments.
Requirements
- Valid CNA certification with current licensure in the state of employment.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, or individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, vital signs measurement, and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) such as Epic or Cerner is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using proper lifting practices; physically capable of manual handling tasks required for patient transfer.
- Strong communication skills for caregiving and collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Prior experience in long-term care facilities, hospitals (including ICU or trauma centers), hospice or home care environments is highly valued.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
