Independent Contractor Therapist (LPC, LCSW) – Remote, 1099
CLS Counseling & Consulting, PLLC is a telehealth group practice licensed in Missouri and Illinois. We're growing and looking for licensed therapists ready to build a caseload with real administrative backing.
Location: Remote. Must be licensed in Missouri. Illinois licensure is a strong plus.
This is a 1099 independent contractor role, not employment.

Our clients are high-achieving millennials, Gen Z adults, overwhelmed moms, teens, and LGBTQ+ individuals navigating anxiety, burnout, ADHD, identity, couples stress, and life transitions. This shapes how we talk to and about the people we serve, so it matters that it fits you too.
Compensation
Pay is a percentage of collections, calculated every 14 days and deposited every other Friday:
- Tier 1: 4–29 sessions per pay period → 60% to contractor
- Tier 2: 30–49 sessions per pay period → 70% to contractor
- Tier 3: 50+ sessions per pay period → 80% to contractor
Applies to private pay, insurance reimbursement plus copay/coinsurance, and collected late cancel/no-show fees. No taxes withheld; you'll receive a 1099-NEC.
Minimum activity: 8 completed sessions per calendar month to stay active in the referral and billing infrastructure. You set your own schedule and caseload beyond that.

Qualifications
- Active, fully independent licensure in Missouri (LPC, LCSW); Illinois & other state licensure a plus
- No current supervision requirements, license restrictions, or disciplinary conditions
- Experience providing telehealth services
- Reliable internet and personal equipment for virtual sessions
- Professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain before starting)
Preferred
- Experience with insurance-based billing and managed care
- Familiarity with SimplePractice or a comparable EHR
- Specialty experience in ADHD, LGBTQIA+, GenZ, couples, identity, or maternal/parenting stress
