Mira is looking for Hosts and Hostesses to join our team! Mira is a Mediterranean restaurant in the Elmwood Village. The menu highlights the cuisines of Italy, Spain, Greece and other countries that surround the Mediterranean Sea. We have a strong focus on house made pastas, charcoal grilled meats & vegetables and a Mediterranean focused beverage program.
The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for hospitality. They need to be energetic and comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the goal to provide guests with a wonderful experience. Responsibilities
- Taking reservations, greeting guests, taking guests to their table
- Build an efficient reservation book that always as many guests as possible to join us each night and creates clarity at every moment for seating walk-ins and bar guests
- Work with servers to create a seamless experience for guests
- Constantly exhibit creative ways to say yes to our guests and be polite and effective when we are unable to make accommodations
- Keep the floor staff apprised of reservation details
- Execute our steps of service to create an overall positive guest experience
- Stand for the entirety of scheduled shift
- Walk/move around the restaurant for the majority of scheduled shift
Qualifications
- Restaurant experience is preferred, Resy experience preferred
- Availability weeknights & weekend days/nights is preferred
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with staff and guests
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
