The Associate Director for Student Disability Support Services (SDSS) reports to the Director of Student Disability Support Services and plays a critical leadership role in advancing Morgan State University’s commitment to access, inclusion, and equity. The Associate Director has primary responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the timely, consistent, and compliant delivery of reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
In collaboration with the Director, the Associate Director supports the development, implementation, and assessment of policies, procedures, and service delivery models that promote equal access to academic, residential, and co-curricular experiences. SDSS fosters inclusive and equitable learning environments for students with disabilities as a core expression of Morgan State University’s values related to diversity, equity, and student success.
The Associate Director also provides strategic oversight of accommodation processes, case management, and staff support, ensuring that services are student-centered, legally sound, and aligned with institutional priorities.
