The La De Da Store (a gift shop)
We are seeking a friendly and reliable Gift Shop Sales Associate to help develop this new shop. There may also be opportunity to work hours at the Heceta Lighthouse Gift Shop halfway between Yachats and Florence.
Position Details
- Full-time or part-time available through September
- May transition to part-time after the summer season
- Typical hours could range: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Starting pay: $16 per hour
- Training begins immediately
Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers
- Provide product recommendations and answer questions
- Process sales using Square and credit card systems
- Share information about the local area
- Restock merchandise and notify management of low inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized store through light cleaning and upkeep
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic math and computer skills
- Retail or point-of-sale experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, friendly, and dependable
- Willing to learn about our products, local history, and the surrounding area
- Able to follow directions and work independently
- Must obtain or be able to obtain OLCC Permit
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods, including bending, squatting, climbing stairs, and reaching overhead

The La De Da Store is situated in the heart of the village's tourism district. The store features popular items from the Heceta Lighthouse Gift Shop as well as unique products inspired by Yachats and the Oregon Coast.
