American Traveler is seeking an experienced OR RN for an evening shift travel contract in California, requiring recent Epic experience and a minimum of 3 years of OR specialty experience.

Acute care hospital setting within a 254-bed facility
-
Operating Room (Surgery) unit

Evening shift schedule: 12:30 PM–11:00 PM
-
4x10-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours per week

Epic EMR used; recent experience required

Active CA RN license required
-
Current BLS (American Heart Association) required
-
Current ACLS (American Heart Association) required

Current PALS (American Heart Association) required

Minimum 3 years of OR specialty experience required

Recent experience in the OR specialty within the last 3 months required

Recent Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months required

Active, unrestricted RN license with no prior license hits

BSN preferred

Two supervisory references required: one from the past year and one from within the past two years

Delivers coordinated nursing care according to established standards, including patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and outcome evaluation

Collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective care delivery

Participates in discharge planning to support continuity of care and delegates duties to appropriate healthcare team members

No radius rule applies; local candidates are welcome as rates are the same as travel rates

RTO is limited to 5 days or fewer — requests exceeding 5 days will result in automatic decline

Candidates may only be submitted to one hospital within the Adventist Health system at a time
