OWL is looking for an Import/Export Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating freight shipments, communicating with customers and carriers, managing import deliveries, and making sure shipments arrive where they need to be, when they need to be there.
What You'll Be Doing
- Coordinate import shipments from arrival through final delivery
- Receive shipment pre-alerts and communicate arrival information to customers
- Arrange customs clearance and delivery based on customer requirements
- Coordinate LTL, truckload, and air freight shipments
- Monitor shipment status and provide regular customer updates
- Evaluate transportation options and secure the most effective and cost-efficient solution
- Manage load changes, cancellations, and scheduling adjustments
- Work directly with carriers to confirm availability and negotiate costs
- Prepare transportation quotes and pricing proposals
- Enter billing information into the transportation management system (TMS)
- Audit and approve vendor invoices
- Create and distribute customer and carrier reports as needed
- Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts
- Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams
