Safety by Design is a full-service third-party safety consulting firm based in Houston, Texas. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Safety Representative (PSR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction safety, with a minimum of five (2) years dedicated to building construction safety- not industrial. This role requires an individual with hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and documented continuing education in critical areas of construction safety.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards on all construction sites.
- Conduct safety audits and inspections focusing on fall protection, scaffolding, excavations, confined spaces, crane/equipment operations, electrical safety, and incident investigation.
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety training and certifications.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Complete daily observations reports for the client and company
- Respond to all emails, texts, phone calls in a timely manner and professionally
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to pass a drug and background screening
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation / current auto insurance
- A minimum of two (2) years dedicated to building construction safety.
