Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise retail staff, providing coaching, training, and development to foster a high-performing team.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures and POS system management.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Implement effective sales strategies by analyzing sales data, setting targets, and motivating the team to meet or exceed goals.
- Ensure excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and maintaining a welcoming store atmosphere.
- Coordinate shift schedules, monitor employee performance, and conduct interviews for hiring new team members.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records, payroll processing, and manage operational budgets to support store profitability.
Skills
- Proven experience in retail management with supervisory or assistant manager roles.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems, inventory management software, and retail math principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively and manage managerial conversations confidently.
- Skilled in negotiation, purchasing, pricing strategies, and sales management techniques.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee orientation, training & development programs, and recruiting processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with wireless sales or grocery store operations is advantageous.
- Strong leadership qualities with a focus on operational management, team motivation, and customer service excellence.
