As a Robotic Controls Programmer, you’ll be onsite in Warsaw, Indiana, commissioning FANUC-driven framing lines and delivering reliable performance for material handling, spot welding, sealer/dispense, and MIG welding applications. This is a contract role through September 2026 with day or afternoon shift options and pay around $36.00 per hour.
Own the intersection of robotics programming and electrical engineering—from first power-up to production ramp:
- Analyze and interpret test data to isolate design problems and implement corrections.
- Assemble electronic/electrical prototypes guided by engineering documentation, using appropriate tools and measurement devices.
- Calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical instrumentation and test setups.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and cross-functional partners to define problems and deliver solutions.
- Modify prototypes, parts, assemblies, and systems to address functional deviations.
- Plan method and sequencing for development and testing of experimental equipment.
- Set up/operate test equipment; evaluate assemblies and systems under simulated operating conditions; record comprehensive results.
- Lead quality-focused inspections and provide clear recommendations.
- Create or update diagrams and draft specifications that clarify design intent and functional criteria.
- Assess proposals, shop drawings, and design comments for engineering rigor and compliance with safety/design criteria; advise on approval.
- Install and service electrical control systems and solid-state hardware.
- Provide leadership by recommending assignments, approving leave, and completing performance reviews; plan, schedule, and monitor work for both direct and support personnel.
- Develop project cost and labor-hour estimates; support budget and schedule adherence.
- Deliver technical support and problem resolution before, during, and after construction.
- Audit existing electrical engineering criteria to identify required revisions or removals of outdated content.
- Prepare contracts and coordinate changes to specifications and plans throughout the build.
- Proven experience with FANUC robotics.
- Hands-on background with Spot Weld, Sealer/Dispense, and Material Handling.
- 3DV experience preferred (not required).
- Some DCS experience; RPs required.
- Ability and commitment to work seven days per week as needed.
