Summary:
The Security Sr Supervisor will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and compliance of all security documentation while supporting the Director of Security and SMOD in daily operational oversight. They will conduct detailed reviews of incident and alarm reports, coach staff on clear and objective report writing, and maintain strict adherence to E‑Tracker procedures and response standards. They will identify documentation gaps, provide corrective guidance, and mentor supervisors and officers on incident classification, liability‑aware narratives, and proper notification protocols. They will also assist with high‑risk or legally sensitive cases and ensure that essential safety equipment—including fire extinguishers, AEDs, and medical bags—is properly checked, stocked, and documented each shift.
Responsibilities:
- Assist DOS and SMOD in conducting quality control reviews of all Security Incident Reports prior to final submission to ensure factual accuracy, professional tone, proper grammar, and compliance with Rosen Hotels Risk Management Department.
- Assist DOS and SMOD in providing coaching and corrective guidance to Security Supervisors and Officers on report writing, documentation standards, and narrative clarity, including follow-up revisions when required.
- Assist DOS and SMOD with E-Tracker compliance: Proper response procedures are followed, Response times are documented, any deficiencies are identified and addressed.
- Assist DOS and SMOD in reviewing all alarm response documentation, including fire alarms, duress alarms, elevator alarms, pool alarms, and safety system activation.
- Assist in identifying documentation deficiencies (missing details, inconsistent narratives, delayed reporting) and develop corrective coaching plans.
- Serve as a resource and mentor to Supervisors and Officers for: Proper incident classification, Objective vs. subjective language, Liability-aware documentation, Chain-of-command notifications.
- Coordinate with the Director of Security and SMOD on documentation related to high-risk incidents, injuries, claims, or events with potential legal exposure.
- Assist DOS and SMOD to ensure Fire Extinguisher and AED’s checks are completed in a timely manner.
- Assist DOS and SMOD to ensure that the medical bags are properly stocked and checked every shift.
- Comply with the company's drug-free and tobacco/nicotine-free policy
- All other duties as assigned.
Experience/Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of related hospitality security experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of related leadership experience required.
- Ability to lift- up to 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. infrequently
- Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Education and Certification(s)/License(s):
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's license free of serious violations required.
- First Aid, CPR, AED, BBP and Rosen Security Training will all be offered by Rosen Hotels & Resorts.
