AgriPlex Genomics was formed in 2014 with the goal of creating a platform for genotyping in large populations. We specialize in focused, simultaneous analysis of DNA samples in support of animal and plant breeders. Our proprietary technology allows us to partner with breeders and researchers to identify desirable traits, leading to healthier and more productive crops and livestock.
The organization is seeking a Bioinformatics Engineer with bioinformatics experience
in plant or animal breeding applications to support the design, validation, and
improvement of multiplex PCR genotyping panels for AgriPlex's PlexSeq™ Platform.
This role bridges bioinformatics and panel development by applying computational
methods to panel design and performance analysis while identifying opportunities to
improve the panel development process.

- Provide bioinformatics support for the development of genotyping panels
- Work with the Assay Development team to capture customer requirements and
- evaluate whether requirements have been met
- Collaborate with Assay Development to evaluate panel performance and
- troubleshoot issues
- Translate breeding and genotyping requirements into panel design specifications
- Work with bioinformatics and software teams to align Assay Development needs
- with internal analysis tools
- Develop and maintain scripts and tools as needed to support panel design and
- analysis workflows
- Maintain thorough documentation throughout the panel development process to
- support the reproducibility of panel design
- Identify and implement process improvements for the panel development
- workflow
