Duties
- Safely operate passenger vehicles such as buses, vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and chauffeur-driven cars to transport clients or staff efficiently.
- Navigate using GPS systems to ensure timely arrivals and departures on designated routes.
- Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and luggage handling while providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform routine inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and company policies during all driving activities.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding schedules, routes, or delays to ensure a positive experience.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary for loading or unloading cargo or luggage in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in similar passenger transportation roles.
- Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., <PERSON> driver license or commercial driver’s license).
- Experience operating various passenger vehicles including vans, limousines, shuttle buses, and passenger vans.
- Strong knowledge of GPS navigation tools and local driving routes.
- Familiarity with maintaining vehicles and performing basic repairs or reporting issues promptly.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with diverse clients and team members.
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and lift heavy luggage or cargo when required.
- Knowledge of traffic regulations at the local and state levels related to passenger transportation services.
- Prior experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus.
