American Traveler is hiring a Travel ICU RN for a night shift position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and floating to ER and Med-Surg departments.

ICU Setting
-
Level of unit: 12-bed Intensive Care Unit within a hospital
-
Patient ratio of 1:2-3 with ICU total care responsibilities
-
Utilizes ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and hygiene care
-
Night shift schedule from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM
-
Floating required to Emergency Services and Med-Surg departments
-
No on-call requirements
-
EMR system used is MedHost
-
13-week assignment length
-
Active RN license (New Mexico or Compact) required
-
BLS and ACLS certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience required
-
ER and Med-Surg experience preferred
-
TNCC certification preferred
-
Experience with ventilators, titratable drips, medication mixing, and patient hygiene care preferred
-
No certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
-
Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers
-
No employment gaps of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
-
Provide total patient care in a high-acuity ICU setting, including ventilator management and titratable drip administration
-
Floating to Emergency Services involves assisting with call lights, medication administration, patient transport, IV starts, and blood draws
-
Floating to Med-Surg involves taking a full patient assignment of up to 6 patients or serving as an aide for up to 12 patients
-
Holiday coverage is required

Scrub color requirement: any

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered

RTO requests must be less than 1 week

Traveler will not be considered if they have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years
