BIR Travel Plaza Retail Team Member contributes to a positive customer experience by providing excellent customer service, assisting with product selection and transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized, and well-stocked store environment. This position supports both sales-floor and operational tasks, helping to ensure smooth, efficient, and friendly store operations.

Pay: $12 - 14/hr
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide prompt, friendly, and efficient service.
- Accurately process cash, credit, and electronic transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Assist customers with product selection, questions, and general inquiries.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sales floor, checkout area, and backroom.
- Perform light janitorial duties, such as changing trash and cleaning bathrooms, and anything else asked.
- Restock merchandise, monitor inventory levels, and assist with receiving and organizing shipments.
- Follow all company policies related to loss prevention, safety, and operational procedures.
- Address customer concerns or issues in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily store operations.
- Support the training and onboarding of new employees as needed.
- Uphold company standards for customer service, cleanliness, and workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Prior experience in retail and customer service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems and food safety standards.
- Must have open availability to work all shifts, including overnights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
