Position Overview
The Landscape Foreman / Project Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for managing a small crew and overseeing the successful execution of exterior service projects. This role combines leadership, field expertise, and project coordination to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
This position requires strong communication skills—both English and Spanish—along with a working knowledge of all services offered by J&B Exterior Group. The ideal candidate takes pride in delivering high-quality results, meeting deadlines, and creating excellent customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Crew Leadership & Development
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a two-person field crew
- Train team members on equipment operation, safety practices, and job procedures
- Clearly communicate expectations, tasks, and goals in both English and Spanish
- Foster a positive, productive, and accountable work environment
Project Execution & Field Work
Oversee and actively participate in all services provided by J&B Exterior Group, including:
- Landscape Maintenance & Enhancements - Mowing, edging, trimming, planting, mulching, and landscape improvements
- Irrigation & Drainage Systems - Troubleshooting, repairs, system installs, and optimization
- Hardscaping & Outdoor Construction - Paver installation, small concrete work, retaining walls, and outdoor features
- Artificial Turf Installation - Site preparation, grading, base work, and finishing
- Pressure Washing - Cleaning of driveways, patios, and exterior surfaces
- Tree Services - Trimming, pruning, and support with removals
- General Site Work - Grading, digging, hauling debris, and material handling
Quality, Safety & Productivity
- Ensure all work meets company standards, project specifications, and client expectations
- Safely operate trucks, trailers, tools, and heavy equipment
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites at all times
- Monitor daily progress to keep projects on schedule and within scope
- Follow all company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety protocols
Customer Service & Professionalism
- Interact with clients in a respectful, professional manner on-site
- Address questions or concerns and communicate feedback to management
- Represent J&B Exterior Group with integrity, reliability, and strong work ethic
Required Qualifications
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience across multiple landscaping and exterior service areas
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida’s heat, humidity, and varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience towing and maneuvering trailers
- Knowledge of Florida plants, materials, and regional landscaping techniques
- Ability to read plans, measure accurately, and estimate materials
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Professional appearance and job site demeanor
