- Diesel PM Service Technician (Tractor-Trailers)
- Lopes Construction is a family owned Construction / Aggregate business, serving Southern New England for over 60 plus years.
- We are a full service, self-performing heavy civil contractor and Aggregate producer, with a fleet trucks, trailers, and a large fleet of late model heavy equipment.
Schedule: Full-Time | 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Perform PM services (oil, filters, greasing) on tractor-trailers
- Complete safety inspections (DOT-level awareness)
- Perform brake adjustments
- Conduct fluid sampling (engine oil, coolant, hydraulic) .
- Check fluids, belts, hoses, air brakes, and basic components
- Identify issues early and report needed repairs
- Maintain service records and keep work area clean
Requirements
- Experience with Class 8 trucks or heavy equipment
- Able to perform PM work and brake adjustments independently
- Familiar with fluid sampling.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
- Basic tools required
- CDL a plus (not required)

Pre-requisites to Apply:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Own set of basic hand tools
- Must have experience working with trucks or heavy equipment diesel repairs.
- Able to perform diagnosis, repair and tune-ups using established procedures
- Have the knowledge and ability to consistently repair components and equipment in line with manufactures standards.
- Repair a variety of services such as transmissions, engines, drive line, steering, suspensions, brake systems, frames, axles, electrical, hydraulic and a/c repairs.
- Able to communicate in person, by phone, E-Mail and text.
- Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Able to walk, bend, kneel, lift and perform regular laboring type tasks.
