Play-Based Wellness is seeking a Therapy Assistant to support our interdisciplinary pediatric therapy team. This role involves assisting therapists across Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, and Occupational Therapy within our clinic. Therapy Assistants help keep the clinic running smoothly by preparing materials, supporting therapists during sessions, and assisting with day-to-day clinic needs.
This position is a great opportunity for individuals who are exploring a career in pediatric therapy, psychology, education, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, or ABA. It is also a good fit for someone in a transition period who enjoys working with children and wants hands-on exposure to a clinical environment.
Our clinic works with children with autism ages 2–12 in a play-based, collaborative setting.
We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates and offer flexible scheduling. We may hire multiple part-time candidates or one full-time candidate, depending on availability and fit.
Responsibilities
Assist therapists (ABA, Speech, and Occupational Therapy) during sessions as needed.
Prepare therapy materials, toys, and activities for sessions.
Help organize therapy rooms and ensure materials are ready for upcoming sessions.
Support therapists with transitions between activities when appropriate.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
Sanitize toys, materials, and therapy spaces throughout the day.
Assist with general clinic organization and daily operational needs.
Help therapists locate materials, prepare visual supports, or gather equipment.
Provide general support to ensure therapy sessions run smoothly.
Interact with children in a warm, playful, and supportive manner.
Qualifications
Interest in working with children with autism or developmental differences.
Interest in careers related to pediatric therapy, psychology, education, ABA, OT, or speech therapy preferred.
Reliable, organized, and proactive.
Comfortable working in an active environment with young children.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow therapist direction and support multiple clinicians throughout the day.
High school diploma required; college coursework in psychology, education, speech, occupational therapy, or related fields is a plus.
Schedule
Flexible scheduling available.
Open to both part-time and full-time candidates.
Clinic hours are typically Monday–Friday during daytime hours.
