Position Summary
The Packaging and Manufacturing Agent with an administrative focus will play a critical role in supporting production processes while maintaining accurate inventory tracking and documentation for work-in-progress (WIP) items. This role combines hands-on packaging and manufacturing duties with administrative responsibilities to ensure efficient operations, compliance, and seamless reporting. This individual must be highly organized and detail-oriented to support the Production Manager & Assistant Manager with packaging, distribution and inventory processes. This role is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the production and distribution cycles by tracking inventory levels, maintaining accurate records, assisting with shipments, and providing administrative support to the production team(s). The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to multitask, solve problems quickly, and collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless workflows.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

- Packaging and Manufacturing
- Perform packaging tasks such as labeling, sealing, and inspecting cannabis products to meet production standards.
- Assist in manufacturing processes, including preparation and handling of raw materials, equipment operation, and quality control.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Distribution & Shipping Support
- Assist in preparing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and generating shipping documentation (e.g. invoice and manifest).
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers to schedule and track shipments.
- Ensure timely delivery of products by communicating effectively with distributors, suppliers, and transportation teams.
- Track and update delivery statuses, handling any delays or issues as they arise.
- Monitor and coordinate returns, exchanges, and damaged goods, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Inventory Tracking
- Track work-in-progress (WIP) items through production stages to ensure accurate status updates and timely completion.
- Monitor and document inventory levels of raw materials, packaging supplies, and finished goods using inventory management systems.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with the Assistant Packaging Manager to create and maintain production schedules based on operational demands.
- Coordinate the receipt of incoming materials and verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Organize inventory storage and maintain a tidy and safe warehouse or storage area.
- Assist in preparing and submitting compliance reports, ensuring adherence to state and local cannabis regulations.
- Administrative Support
- Perform general office duties.
- Prepare and file production, distribution, and inventory-related documents, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible.
- Assist with the preparation of cost reports, inventory reconciliation, and any other administrative tasks related to production and distribution.
- Help track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, inventory, and distribution, reporting on trends or issues.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and ensure alignment.
- Communicate updates, challenges, and solutions to supervisors and team members in a timely manner.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting process enhancements.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be at least 21 years old and meet all local/state requirements for working in the cannabis industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
- Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., METRC, BioTrackTHC, or other ERP systems).
- Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in packaging, inventory tracking, and documentation.
- Basic understanding of cannabis compliance regulations is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, sit, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25–50 pounds as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in packaging, manufacturing, or inventory management, preferably in a cannabis or regulated industry.
