Salary: $15,956 - $20,575 / quarter base depending on experience & education
This position qualifies for a Nursing Educator Supplemental Stipend of 34% of actual quarterly salary in addition to salary
(Per quarter salary calculation: Base multiplied by class load %, ex.: $20,575 base x 50% teaching load = approx. $10,287.50)

Faculty at Shoreline will have an array of students from differing programs in their classroom, including professional technical and university transfers. Shoreline seeks a candidate that can identify and mitigate the barriers to success that many students face and be passionate about creating an equitable learning environment that supports success for all students. The Nursing program educates pre-licensure students to become Registered Nurses. The Nursing program is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
Typical duties include providing instruction, including theory, clinical, and skills labs, and developing curriculum and assessing program outcomes. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will support the department's efforts to create an equitable and accessible learning environment for all.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Required Education & Experience:
-
Master's in Science Nursing (MSN) and three (3) or more years of clinical experience
OR
-
Bachelor’s in Science Nursing (BSN) and three (3) or more years of clinical experience may be eligible for employment under approved accreditation guidelines in certain circumstances
Knowledge of:
-
Nursing in a wide range of levels

Current technology and trends in the field of nursing

Laws and regulations pertaining to nursing
Skill in:

Imparting excitement and enthusiasm into teaching Nursing

Experience with or willingness to gain experience with teaching and developing coursework

Computer applications for instructional purposes and clinical documentation

Fostering a climate of equity and belonging through multicultural awareness and responsiveness

Effective oral/written communication with individuals at all levels inside and outside the College

Adapting to a variety of teaching situations with students from diverse backgrounds/abilities

Developing/modifying curriculum both collaboratively and independently

Working and interacting effectively with colleagues, staff, students, administrators and others of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds
