Duties
- Support lead caregivers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Assist with supervising children during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and engagement
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages learning and exploration
- Follow established safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to respond promptly to minor injuries or emergencies
- Collaborate with team members to observe and document children’s progress and behavior for developmental assessments
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by providing personalized care and assistance as directed
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding daily routines, milestones, and any concerns
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively
- Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when working with young children
- Ability to work part-time hours flexibly during weekdays; reliable transportation is beneficial
