Every fire extinguisher leaving our Springfield shop may one day be someone's first line of defense. At National Extinguisher Service, quality isn't just important—it protects people and property. We're looking for a mechanically inclined, dependable professional who takes pride in doing work right the first time and wants to own the day-to-day success of our Springfield shop. Shift is 8am-5pm Monday-Friday. Starting wage is $20/hour with additional wage growth as you complete training, certifications, and demonstrate proficiency in the position.
What You'll Do
- Own the daily workflow and production of the Springfield National Extinguisher Service Shop, ensuring work is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
- Inspect, test, recharge, repair, and hydrostatically test portable fire extinguishers in accordance with NFPA, DOT, and manufacturer standards.
- Maintain accurate production records, testing documentation, and compliance records.
- Manage shop inventory, production materials, and recharge components to keep field technicians out in the field protecting lives and property.
- Prioritize walk-in customer needs while balancing production schedules and service commitments.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and efficient shop that reflects company standards.
- Support field technicians at customer locations as business needs require.
- Look for opportunities to improve quality, efficiency, safety, and shop organization.

Physical Work
