Job Overview:
Local Knoxville company is seeking an experienced and skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing, installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in various commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC service, installation, repair, and maintenance, as well as experience with equipment repair and refrigeration. It is also important for us to find someone who wants to be here long term, as well as truly be a valuable member of our team.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, furnaces, and other related equipment.
- Correctly diagnose problems with HVAC systems, and perform necessary repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including filter replacements and cleaning.
- Build and assemble HVAC equipment, as necessary.
- Drive a van to and from job sites, and transport equipment and materials.
- Perform field service calls, including troubleshooting and repair of HVAC systems.
- Utilize various tools, including an ohmmeter, to diagnose and repair issues with HVAC systems.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of verifiable experience in HVAC installs / repairs.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and materials.
- Experience with equipment repair refrigeration.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and their components.
- Proficiency in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various environments.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
