We're seeking an experienced PA or NP with a background in orthopedics, sports medicine, PM&R, or musculoskeletal medicine to independently evaluate and treat MSK conditions using diagnostic ultrasound and ultrasound-guided procedures.
This is a procedural role. We're looking for demonstrated competency in diagnostic MSK ultrasound and injection technique — not just exposure to it or a weekend course.
What you'll do
- Evaluate patients with acute/chronic MSK complaints — history, exam, differential, treatment plan
- Perform diagnostic MSK ultrasound and correlate findings with the clinical exam
- Perform ultrasound-guided procedures: PRP, corticosteroid, trigger-point, joint/bursal injections, joint aspirations
- Provide pre/post-procedure patient education and document findings appropriately
- Consult with the supervising physician as needed
Required
- Active, unrestricted FL PA or APRN license + current national certification
- Demonstrated experience evaluating orthopedic/MSK patients
- Demonstrated experience performing diagnostic MSK ultrasound (not guidance-only)
- Demonstrated experience with ultrasound-guided injections, including corticosteroid and trigger-point
- Strong sterile technique; sound judgment on when to escalate to the physician or to imaging/referral
Preferred
- 3+ years in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine, PM&R, Rheumatology, or Interventional MSK Medicine
- 2+ years of regular MSK ultrasound use
- PRP / regenerative-orthobiologic medicine experience
- Joint aspiration, tendon/bursal procedure, and viscosupplementation experience
- RMSK credential
Comfortable evaluating shoulder, elbow, wrist/hand, hip, knee, and ankle/foot — including tendons, ligaments, bursae, and joint effusions.
