The Opportunity
MBC is hiring a Program Manager to lead our Intensive Outpatient Program, serving adults living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and General Mental Health (GMH) needs. This is a hands-on leadership role: you'll be on the floor with your team every day, not managing from behind a desk. If you like building strong teams, solving problems in real time, and being the person who keeps a program running smoothly, we want to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Run the IOP's daily operations from open to close
- Lead, schedule, and direct behavioral health technicians, case managers, group facilitators, and other program staff
- Train and coach staff on procedures, documentation, and expectations
- Step in to run groups when needed
- Collaborate with the Clinical Director and Administrator on programming, staffing, and quality of care
- Manage the full admissions-to-discharge cycle, including scheduling and census
- Keep the program aligned with Arizona licensing and AHCCCS standards
- Prepare for and lead the team through licensing inspections and payer audits
- Build relationships with outside providers, care coordinators, and managed care organizations
- Handle incidents, member needs, and day-to-day operational issues as they come up
What You Bring
- 3+ years of experience in behavioral health
- 1+ year of experience managing a program or team
- Working knowledge of Arizona behavioral health licensing and AHCCCS standards
- Experience supervising staff in a residential, outpatient, or clinical setting
- Familiarity with the SMI population and recovery-based care
- The ability to lead a team, hold people accountable, and stay organized under pressure
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but strong relevant experience will be considered
