Qualifications
- Medical Technologist (MT) required (AAB) (AMT) (ASCP)
- Medical Lab Technician (MLT) preferred (AAB) (AMT) (ASCP)
Specific to Medical Laboratory Technician:
- Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or a graduate of a Diploma School Program.
- Certification/License/Registration by ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AMT, AAB, or equivalent.
Specific for Medical Technologist:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field.
- Certification/License/Registration by ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology), AAB, AMT, or equivalent.
Overall:
- Excellent verbal and communication skills.
- Maintenance of strict HIPPA Regulations.
- Have the ability to assess the needs of the customer and effectively meet those needs.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of computers.
- Access the web for product information, send data for calculations, and retrieve compiled data.
Responsibilities
Medical Technologist (MT) / Medical Lab Technician (MLT) supervises and performs tests in any of the departmental areas of the laboratory:
- Checks the validity and accuracy of test results.
- Provides in-service education to other technicians and technologists.
- Provides on-the-job training to new personnel (clerks) and/or orientation of new technicians and technologists.
- Able to collect samples from patients of all ages.
- Responsible for guest relations, interpersonal skills, and patient confidentiality

- Monday - Thursday
- 7:45 pm – 6:15 am
Hourly Pay Range
- MLT $24.00/hr – $28.80/hr
- MT $26.50/hr – $31.80/hr
- Actual hourly pay rate depends on experience (DOE).
