As an integral part of the school’s support team, you’ll collaborate closely with educators, families, and other specialists, ensuring students receive the personalized interventions they need. What you’ll bring:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Massachusetts
- Previous experience (or strong interest) in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy
- Deep understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices in special education
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility in dynamic environments
Your core responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to assess and address students’ functional and academic needs
- Develop and implement intervention plans to support fine motor, sensory processing, and adaptive skills
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Offer recommendations and strategies to staff and families for student success
