Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Ballet Teacher to inspire students aged 8 to 18, from beginner levels through advanced. Responsibilities
- Design engaging and progressive ballet lesson plans tailored to students’ ages and skill levels, from beginner through advanced
- Teach fundamental ballet techniques, including posture, alignment, movement vocabulary, and performance skills
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, discipline, and mutual respect among students
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a safe and focused learning environment
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
- Incorporate elements of theater, choreography, and musicality into dance routines to enhance artistic expression
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs or special education considerations
- Maintain a clean, organized studio space conducive to learning and creativity
Requirements
- Proven experience teaching ballet to children and teenagers across various skill levels
- Strong knowledge of ballet curriculum development and lesson planning techniques
- Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to motivate young learners
- Experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings; preschool or early childhood education experience is a plus
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies and childhood development principles
- Ability to incorporate creative arts such as theater or photography into dance instruction when appropriate
- Passion for working with youth and fostering their artistic growth through dance
