Glass Technician – Kona, Hawaiʻi
Job Summary
Techmotive is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Glass Technician to join our Kona team. This position is responsible for repairing and replacing automotive glass while ensuring each job meets Techmotive’s safety, quality, and documentation standards.
Because modern automotive glass is often connected to Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), the ideal candidate will understand how glass replacement may affect cameras, sensors, and calibration requirements. Previous automotive mechanical experience is preferred.
Primary Responsibilities
- Repair and replace windshields, door glass, back glass, quarter glass, and other automotive glass.
- Follow OEM procedures and approved adhesive, primer, and installation requirements.
- Remove and reinstall moldings, trim, cowls, wipers, mirrors, door panels, and related components.
- Identify vehicles equipped with ADAS cameras and sensors and determine when scanning, calibration, initialization, or relearn procedures may be required.
- Coordinate required ADAS calibrations and confirm related systems are operating correctly.
- Inspect completed work for proper fit, sealing, appearance, cleanliness, and operation.
- Perform mobile glass services at customer or partner locations when needed.
- Accurately document inspections, repairs, photographs, parts, materials, and final results in Shopmonkey.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and properly dispose of broken glass and used materials.
- Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and business partners.
Qualifications
- Previous automotive glass installation or repair experience is strongly preferred.
- Automotive mechanical, collision repair, body shop, or dealership experience is preferred.
- Experience with ADAS-equipped vehicles, cameras, sensors, diagnostic scanning, or calibrations is a plus.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow OEM procedures and company safety requirements.
- Comfortable using tablets, computers, and automotive software.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to lift and safely handle automotive glass, tools, and equipment.
- Willingness to complete required glass, ADAS, and safety training.
Location: Kona, Hawaiʻi
Pay Range: based on experience and qualifications.

Pay: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour
