Ministry Function:
The Puerto Rico Program Coordinator supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope (COH) by supporting the Puerto Rico Program Director with the resourcing and implementation of Convoy of Hope’s initiatives for Convoy of Hope Program Centers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develops strategic plans for starting, managing, implementing, and monitoring Convoy of Hope programs in conjunction with the Program Director.

Develops relevant focus area curriculum using HQ guides, tools and resources, and applying HQ organizational curriculum standards and program specifications in contextually relevant ways.

Helps recruit, train, and maintain coaching relationships with Program Center leaders in the relevant area of programmatic focus for program start-up.

Works in collaboration with the Program Director on overall progress towards numerical goals, with the support of the HQ staff.

Researches appropriate partnerships with organizations that align with the mission and values of Convoy of Hope.

Produces and submits high-quality reports in compliance with monitoring and evaluation standards of data collection.

Works with existing and potential program centers to determine the scope of programming.

Provides oversight and care for program volunteers.

Assists and hosts Convoy of Hope guests.

Assists with identifying potential projects for field teams.

Fulfills all other duties as assigned.
Required, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-
One year experience in administrative work is required. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred; a high school diploma or equivalent is required.

A valid driver’s license is required.

Fluency in spoken and written English and Spanish is required.

Must be at least 25 years of age to be eligible for this position due to organizational driving and insurance requirements.

Strong active listening, critical thinking, program development and group facilitation skills are required.

Strong project management skills with the ability to set priorities according to strategic plan, with exceptional abilities to manage details across multiple communities and projects.

Excellent interpersonal communication and relational skills with the ability to work collaboratively on an international, cross-cultural team.

Knowledge and experience in asset-based and/or participatory development approaches preferred.

Exhibits strong Mac or PC proficiency and working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office, with the ability to quickly learn other COH systems as needed.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking/training.

Ability and willingness to travel to various Program Centers and other project sites within Puerto Rico.
