ABOUT THE LEGAL ASSISTANCE CENTER:
The Legal Assistance Center is a nonprofit legal self-help center. Seeking to ensure access to justice for all, the LAC offers legal information, forms, resources, guidance, and referrals to members of our community seeking to solve basic civil legal problems and use the courts on their own.
The LAC is committed to providing accurate, high-quality, and useful legal information and resources designed to empower the people we serve to find workable solutions for themselves and their families, the LAC. Respect for and understanding those with unmet legal needs are central to the high-quality service expected from all LAC staff.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Executive Support▪ Assist Executive Director with program, operational, and governance responsibilities.
- Program Development▪ Maintain and update current forms and resources▪ Support development of new forms and resources.
- Volunteer Services Support▪ Manage and maintain volunteer records.▪ Preparation for volunteer orientation and training.
- Patron Services Support▪ Manage forms store fulfillment and records.
- Program Evaluation▪ Manage the service data collection and reporting.
- Development Support▪ Maintain and report donor data using CRM.▪ Support and implement donor communications.▪ Support and implement development events.
- Center Resources Support▪ Manage equipment functioning and maintenance.▪ Manage office and operational supplies.▪ Manage maintenance of center service and operational spaces.
- Records Management▪ Manage and maintain physical and digital files.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MARKETING OPPORTUNITIES:
- Collaborate to design and implement▪ Social media strategies.▪ Donor communications strategies.▪ Email communication strategies.
- Collaborate to design and create▪ Educational and promotional content.▪ Resource design and content.
POSITION DETAILS:
- Reports to Executive Director
- Location: Kent County Courthouse, Grand Rapids, MI
- Part-time (20 to 24 hours/week); Schedule flexibility
- Compensation: Based on skills and experience, consistent with nonprofit organizations
- Benefits include parking, retirement, and PTO. No health insurance.
