Responsibilities
Support licensed electricians by preparing work areas and organizing tools and materials for electrical installations. Assist with pulling wire, installing conduit, and mounting electrical components according to project plans. Use hand tools and power tools safely to cut, strip, and connect electrical wiring and devices. Read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to understand project requirements. Help troubleshoot low voltage and high voltage systems under supervision, ensuring compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Maintain a clean and safe construction site by following safety protocols and proper disposal of debris.
Requirements
Previous experience working on construction sites or in electrical environments is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and basic electrical equipment such as ohmmeters is highly desirable. Basic understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, and construction plans is a plus. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and work safely in a fast-paced environment. Experience with framing carpentry or related construction skills can be advantageous. Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential for success in this role. Must be able to work physically demanding tasks including standing for extended periods, lifting heavy materials, and climbing ladders.
