Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Extrusion Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. Duties
- Operate extrusion machinery following production instructions.
- Inspect machines and auxiliary equipment before starting operations.
- Perform machine setup and calibration based on product specifications.
- Monitor critical parameters during the extrusion process.
- Record production data in SAP or production systems. Identify and report process deviations or equipment issues.
- Support preventive maintenance activities.
- Maintain safe and organized work areas following 5S practices.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other hand tools, ensuring proper materials handling and storage practices
- Document production data, machine settings, and quality control results accurately for traceability and reporting purposes
- Follow all safety protocols diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues
Requirements
- Proven experience in plastics extrusion or plastics production environment with hands-on knowledge of plastics blow molding or injection molding processes
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in machine operation, machining, and industrial equipment troubleshooting
- Ability to perform precision measurement in machining and quality inspection using measurement (quality control) tools
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for machine automation control is preferred
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely in a manufacturing setting
- Basic math skills for calculations related to measurements, machine settings, and production data analysis
- Knowledge of safety protocols related to manufacturing operations and materials handling
- Ability to work effectively with hand tools, measurement instruments, and assembly processes
