Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly front-of-the-house cashier with barista experience to join our vibrant café team in Ridgefield. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and light food items with precision and care
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions, perform cash handling duties, and give correct change using basic math skills
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food preparation and handling
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without sacrificing quality
- Assist with inventory management, restocking supplies, and ensuring the café remains inviting and organized
Skills
- Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and food handling procedures
- Proficiency in POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales calculations
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food preparation practices
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced café environment
