Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Medical Assistant to join our small medical practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinic. You will work with providers to support patients through the medical exam, assisting with procedures, keeping the lines of communication open between physician and patient, and ensuring exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Room patients, obtain HPI detail, and update medication lists
- Prepare patient for examination and assist providers during procedures
- Administer injections and other clinical services as directed
- Assist in specimen collection along with preparing laboratory orders
- Document patient information accurately in the EMR System
- Proficient in documenting patient encounters using the SOAP note format within the EMR
- Familiarity with medical coding standards, including ICD-10 diagnosis codes and CPT procedure codes
- Process prescription refill requests and patient communications (via phone, fax and/or EMR
- Maintain supplies and equipment
- Clean exam rooms
- Provide outstanding care to patient and their families
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Medical Assistant experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Proficiency with EMR systems
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional, positive, and patient-focused demeanor

- Specialty practice setting
- Minor medical office procedures
Job Type: Full-Time with possibility of flex time/job sharing
Location Parameters: Applicants need to live within a 50-mile radius of Lewis/Clark Valley
