Responsibilities

- Lead, motivate, and develop housekeeping staff through effective training and performance management.
- Implement cleaning protocols aligned with health and safety regulations, ensuring all areas meet or exceed cleanliness standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and facilities to uphold cleanliness and maintenance standards.
- Develop schedules for housekeeping staff that optimize coverage while maintaining flexibility for special requests or events.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special projects, deep cleans, or renovations that require housekeeping support.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial roles within hospitality or commercial environments.
- Strong supervising experience with a focus on team leadership and staff development.
- Excellent management skills to oversee operations efficiently while maintaining high-quality service standards.
- Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures, laundry operations, and hospitality industry best practices.
- Ability to lead by example with a hands-on approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks when necessary.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies; experience in hotel or hospitality management is highly desirable.
