Express Employment Professionals is hiring multiple 3rd Shift Manufacturing Associates for a leading manufacturer in the Ithaca area. If you have manufacturing experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and enjoy working in a fast-paced production environment, this may be a great opportunity for you.
This position plays a key role in producing high-quality components while maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing operation.
Schedule
- 3rd Shift
- Sunday night - Friday morning
- 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Responsibilities
- Load and unload CNC machines and assembly stations.
- Start, monitor, and safely operate manufacturing equipment.
- Inspect finished parts using hand-held gauges and measuring equipment to ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify, tag, and process nonconforming parts according to established procedures.
- Perform minor machine maintenance, including adding coolant, oiling equipment, and cleaning machines.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area by following 5S standards.
- Manually move materials, parts, and finished products using carts, pallet jacks, racks, trays, baskets, and shelves.
- Assemble components according to engineering specifications and quality requirements.
- Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment issues or production concerns to supervisors.
- Accurately document production activities.
- Follow all company safety procedures, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Work collaboratively with team members to improve efficiency and production quality.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Experience with fabrication of materials or machining processes preferred
- Previous experience operating CNC equipment such as:
- Laser cutters
- CNC mills
- Lathes
- Plasma cutting equipment
- Strong shop math and basic math skills
- Mechanical aptitude and experience using precision measuring instruments and hand tools
- Knowledge of machine safety procedures and manufacturing best practices
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain high quality standards
- Commitment to workplace safety, accuracy, and teamwork.
