JOB DESCRIPTION: The Data Management Assistant assists in maintaining data quality and supports the budget manager & data analyst in grant-specific and school-wide data needs. Responsibilities include data entry, developing and maintaining procedures for data collection, input, management, and quality control, and developing statistical reports for grant reporting and program evaluation/development. The Data Management Assistant reports to the building principal.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Illinois Professional Educator License required.
Bachelor's degree required -
Good research, data management, and statistical analysis skills.

Detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, proficiency in Excel and Word.

Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Strong customer-service orientation.

Strong knowledge of relational databases.

Ability to work independently, multi-task, and work within deadline.

Strong workflow management skills and a rigorous attention to detail.

Strong organizational skills, including excellent time management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in educational analysis and evaluation or research.

Applicable experience in nonprofit governance, administration, or grants management.

Experience in project management.

Experience managing federal grant data.

Experience developing and administering surveys.

Experience monitoring and data reporting.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of Title I grant programs and activities

An understanding of database functionality and structure

Experience with database management and knowledge of basic statistics

At least one year of direct experience in data collection, data analysis, and statistical reporting

Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills

Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to meet deadlines

Ability to work well in a team environment

Experience with federal grant requirements is a plus
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS):

Collect, compile, analyze, and report data (grades, enrollment information, participation in grant-sponsored activities, etc.)

Create and manage data stores to house extracted data from various sources.

Create user-friendly reports to assist stakeholders (staff, district administrators) in data-driven decision-making.

Develop protocols to ensure data accuracy.
-
Assist in preparations for compliance reviews, audits, and cross-site evaluations and participate as appropriate.
