American Traveler is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT/PET Tech) for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care Magnet hospital, with at least 6 months of PET experience required.

Primary work setting is a PET unit within a 426-bed acute care Magnet hospital, with potential float to Nuclear Medicine as needed

Travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment

Schedule is 4x10 or 5x8 hour day shifts with variable start times between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM

Post-shift and rotating weekend call is required; call expectations may vary based on experience level and can be discussed during the interview

Weekend shifts may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs

Charting is performed in Epic; experience is required

Experience with Siemens equipment is highly preferred

Minimum of 1 year of Nuclear Medicine experience required, with at least 6 months of PET experience (hard requirement)

ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification required; CA state license required if applicable

Current BLS required

PET certification is not required, but PET experience is mandatory

First-time travelers are accepted with 2+ years of experience; candidates with less experience will be screened on a case-by-case basis

At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting are required for consideration

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
