- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays, stock shelves, and ensure the store is clean, inviting, and well-stocked.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering product information, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves regularly and assisting with inventory counts to ensure product availability.
- Uphold store policies regarding age verification and responsible alcohol sales while maintaining compliance with legal regulations.
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or customer service experience preferred, especially in grocery or liquor store environments.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math to manage transactions accurately.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively; bilingual abilities are a plus.
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and product demos to create attractive displays that encourage sales.
- Knowledge of alcohol products or willingness to learn about different brands and types of liquor.
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone.
