We are seeking a dedicated, knowledgeable, and student-centered Physics Teacher to join our high school faculty. The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging, inquiry-based instruction and foster a rigorous learning environment that promotes scientific thinking, problem-solving, and academic excellence. Candidates with experience teaching multiple Advanced Placement Physics courses are strongly preferred.
Essential Responsibilities

Plan and deliver effective, standards-aligned instruction in Physics courses.

Develop and implement engaging laboratory experiences that emphasize scientific inquiry and data analysis.

Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Utilize a variety of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instruction.

Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and communication.

Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.

Integrate technology and instructional best practices into daily teaching.

Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, counselors, and parents to support student success.

Participate in departmental, school, and district professional development activities.

Support extracurricular activities, academic clubs, or related student programs as appropriate.
Qualifications

Valid New Jersey Teacher of Physics Certificate or eligibility for certification.

Bachelor's degree in Physics, Physical Science, Science Education, or a closely related field.

Demonstrated knowledge of secondary science curriculum and instructional practices.

Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.

Commitment to equitable educational opportunities for all students.

Familiarity with New Jersey Student Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).

Experience teaching high school physics at multiple academic levels.

Experience teaching one or more Advanced Placement Physics courses.

Proven record of preparing students for AP examinations and college-level coursework.
