Overview

Duties
- Operate excavators (including Track Hoe and other models) to perform excavation, trenching, and site preparation tasks with precision and efficiency
- Use dozers (such as Caterpillar dozers) for grading, land clearing, and site leveling to meet project specifications
- Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on all construction machinery, including loaders, graders, water trucks, and backhoes
- Assist with construction utility work by locating underground utilities accurately and ensuring safe excavation practices
- Support construction site activities by operating heavy equipment for grading, backfilling, and material movement
- Follow federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment at all times
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects stay on schedule while adhering to quality standards and safety protocols
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy machinery including excavators (Track Hoe), dozers (Dozer), loaders, graders, backhoes, and water trucks in a construction setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge for routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
- Ability to perform construction grading, excavation, and utility work with precision
- Knowledge of federal construction safety regulations and adherence to safety regulations during all operations
- Skilled in construction site experience with an understanding of construction utility work and underground utility locating techniques
- Valid commercial driver’s license with experience in commercial truck driving and transportation of equipment or materials
- Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment brands or similar heavy machinery brands is preferred
- Excellent teamwork skills combined with a proactive approach to safety procedures

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
