Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Toast POS, ensuring all special requests are noted and fulfilled
- Upsell menu items and beverages to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Serve food and beverages efficiently, maintaining high standards of food safety, sanitation, and presentation
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments with POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to ensure a pristine environment
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions, resolving concerns promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred, especially in fine dining or seafood settings
- Familiarity with POS systems such as ToastPOS, or OpenTable is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation standards, and food safety regulations
- Experience in upselling beverages and menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Basic math skills for cash handling and order accuracy; serving experience is a plus
