Physical Therapy Technicians work closely with Physical Therapists to provide rehabilitative care to patients. In most physical therapy clinics the duties and responsibilities of a Physical Therapy Technician may include the following:
- Observe the patients they are working with before, during and after therapy and report notes to the Physical Therapist.
- Assist the Physical Therapist by progressing patients through their physical therapy program.
- Use devices, such as walkers, and other equipment to help patients regain movement and reduce pain.
- Assist patients when moving to and from the therapy area.
- Clean clinic and exercise equipment.
- Assist in answering phones, scheduling patients and other miscellaneous office tasks.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
