Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Blower Truck Helper to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside a Blower Truck Operator to install landscaping materials—such as mulch, compost, soil, and playground chips—across various residential, commercial, and construction sites.
This is a physically demanding, fast-paced outdoor role perfect for someone who enjoys manual labor, working with a team, and seeing the immediate results of their hard work.
Key Responsibilities
- Hose Management: Handle, pull, and maneuver large, flexible blower hoses to direct the application of materials on-site.
- Site Preparation & Cleanup: Set up safety cones, clear debris before application, and thoroughly clean up walkways, driveways, and lawns after the job is complete.
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist the operator in setting up, breaking down, and cleaning the blower truck and its components daily.
- Safety & Communication: Maintain clear communication with the truck operator via hand signals or radios to control material flow. Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear proper PPE.
- Material Management: Assist in monitoring material levels in the truck and ensuring uniform application depths on-site.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs regularly, stand/walk for extended periods, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions (heat, dust, light rain).
- Team Player: Strong work ethic and the ability to work collaboratively with the operator and other crew members.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and possesses reliable transportation to the shop or job sites.
- Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, construction, roofing, or general manual labor is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old. A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.
