CNC Lathe Machinist

Xceldyne engineering and manufacturing facility is focused on the manufacture of highly technical, high-precision titanium, steel, and aluminum performance parts for Formula One and NASCAR racing engines.
Weekend shift hours are 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday-Sunday, 3 twelve hour days. There is a shift premium of 4 hours if you work 36.
Job Description
Summary/objective:
Primary responsibility is to produce precision racing components in a quality, team-based culture.
Essential functions:
- Initiates set-ups and operates CNC Lathe machinery
- Makes machine tooling adjustments to ensure blueprint specifications are met. Experience with FANUC controls is a plus.
- Inspects each part to ensure quality and verifies to blueprints
- Follows all safety regulations and maintains a clean work environment
- Meets daily production requirements
- Willing to cross train and learn multiple processes
- Communicates well with Team Leads and peers regarding issues related to job travelers, tooling, programs, and maintenance
Requirements:
- Solid attendance record, values punctuality and reliability
- Familiarity with measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Ability to read and understand engineered drawings for accuracy to meet strict manufacturing tolerances
- Familiar with geometry offsets and CNC machine controls
- Mechanically inclined
- Strong math skills
Physical demands and work environment:
Communicate job-related information verbally and sometimes in writing. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds multiple times per day. Stand, walk, use hands and fingers, bend at the waist, lift above the head, reach, and pull. High levels of noise in some areas of the manufacturing environment.
