Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service throughout their visit
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions and food orders
- Manage customer orders efficiently, upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience
- Handle cash register operations including processing cash, credit card payments, and making change accurately
- Assist with food preparation tasks following food safety standards and sanitation protocols
- Maintain a clean workspace by bussing tables, cleaning counters, and ensuring sanitation of all food service areas
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and assist in basic food handling as needed to support kitchen staff
- Support food safety management practices by adhering to proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
- Manage sales transactions smoothly while providing friendly customer service at the register
Skills
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong food industry knowledge
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
- Basic math skills for cash handling, giving accurate change, and managing retail math calculations
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Experience operating kitchen equipment and supporting food preparation activities
