We are seeking a highly motivated and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a Glass Glazier Assistant. This new role is perfect for someone looking to start a rewarding career in the glass and glazing industry. You will work closely with an experienced Glass Glazier, providing essential support on various projects. This is a hands-on opportunity to learn the trade from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Glass Glazier with the preparation and installation of glass in windows, doors, skylights, and other fixtures.
- Measure, cut, and handle glass and related materials under supervision.
- Prepare work sites, including setting up safety barriers and organizing tools and materials.
- Clean, move, and organize glass stock and project materials.
- Assist with the sealing and finishing of installed glass units.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Glass Glazier.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong desire to learn a skilled trade and build a career in glazing.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools is a plus, but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Compensation
The pay rate for this position is $16 - $20 per hour, based on experience and performance.
