Fountain Design Group, Inc. / Cascade Fountains is a growing and highly respected company and one of Florida's leading manufacturers of floating lake fountains and aeration systems. We design, manufacture, install, and service lake fountains, aeration systems, and architectural fountains throughout Florida.
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Control Panel Builder / Technician to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida.
Position Summary
The Electrical Control Panel Builder will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, testing, troubleshooting, and quality control of electrical control panels used to operate floating lake fountains, aeration systems, pumps, motors, and lighting systems.
The successful candidate will have experience building industrial control panels and be capable of working with electrical systems operating at 208V, 230V, and 460V single-phase and three-phase power.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and wire electrical control panels from schematics and engineering drawings.
- Install breakers, contactors, overloads, relays, timers, motor starters, terminal blocks, transformers, and related components.
- Wire and troubleshoot control circuits and power circuits.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Perform quality control inspections and electrical testing.
- Assist with UL-listed panel construction requirements and documentation.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues during manufacturing and field installations when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience building industrial electrical control panels.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Experience with motor controls and three-phase electrical systems.
- Knowledge of NEC requirements and electrical safety practices.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with UL 508A Industrial Control Panels.
- Experience with VFDs, PLCs, motor starters, and pump control systems.
- Electrical apprenticeship or vocational training.
- Florida electrical experience.
- Experience with fountain a plus systems.
